BA Finish Tubes
Bright annealed tubing for clean and instrument service
Stock statusMill indent
Typical lead timeCommon sizes 2 - 3 weeks; electropolished 5 - 7 weeks
Bright annealed (BA) tube — annealed under a protective hydrogen atmosphere so it leaves the furnace with a mirror-clean, oxide-free surface that needs no pickling. The low surface roughness is what hygienic, instrument and high-purity systems are after: less product hold-up, easier passivation and a surface that cleans in place.
- Oxide-free bright annealed surface straight from the mill — no pickling marks
- Low Ra for cleanability, passivation and minimal product hold-up
- Close dimensional control for compression and ferrule fittings
- Capped and sleeved packing so the finish reaches the installation intact

| Hygienic & sanitary tubes | ASTM A270 / DIN 11850 / ISO 1127 for food, dairy, brewing and pharmaceutical process lines |
| Instrument & impulse tubing | ASTM A269 seamless 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 mm and 1/4" - 1/2" coils and straight lengths |
| High purity & UHP tubing | Electropolished to Ra 0.25 µm, capped and double bagged for semiconductor and bio-pharma |
| Nickel alloy BA tubes | Alloy 800, 800HT, 825 and 625 bright annealed for clean high temperature and corrosive service |
| Heat exchanger BA tubes | Bright annealed exchanger tube where the tube side must stay deposit-free |
Specifications
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Surface finish | BA as standard (Ra 0.4 µm or better); mechanically polished and electropolished options |
| Size range | 3 mm to 76.2 mm OD, 0.5 mm to 4 mm wall, straight lengths and coils |
| Tolerances | Close OD, wall and ovality control for ferrule and compression fittings |
| Testing | Hydrostatic or eddy current, hardness, flare and bend, surface roughness measurement |
